Introduction: The Sabbath and Sanctification: Set Apart for a Holy Purpose Welcome to New Beginnings Books and Media. Throughout October, we are studying the Sabbath Day from creation to commandment, from the example of Jesus to the prophetic promise of future worship. Today's focus is how holy time teaches believers to live as a people set apart unto God. We will use the King James Version as our biblical foundation and invite every reader to examine Scripture carefully rather than allowing habit, culture, or human tradition to answer the question for us. The Sabbath is the seventh day, beginning Friday at sundown and ending Saturday at sundown. God blessed it, sanctified it, commanded His people to remember it, and gave it as sacred time for rest, worship, family, reflection, and serv...

Coached for Kingdom Success: Unlocking Your God-Given Potential

Coached for Kingdom Success book cover about faith and purpose

Everyone longs for success—but success looks different in the Kingdom of God than in the world. The world defines success by wealth, fame, or power. But in the Kingdom, success is measured by faithfulness, obedience, love, and living out God’s purpose for your life.

Whether you are a believer desiring to grow deeper in Christ or someone searching for direction and meaning, learning how to live The Kingdom Way is the key to unlocking true success that lasts beyond this life.

What Does Kingdom Success Mean?

Kingdom success is not about climbing the corporate ladder or gaining material possessions. Instead, it’s about aligning your life with God’s will and purpose.

Jesus said in Matthew 16:26, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Real success starts with surrender to Jesus Christ and grows as we follow His teachings.

For believers, Kingdom success means using your gifts and talents for God’s glory.
For nonbelievers, discovering Kingdom principles reveals that true fulfillment and peace come only from God—not from the world.

The Role of coaching in the Kingdom

Even the best athletes, leaders, and professionals need coaches. Why? Because a coach helps guide, correct, and encourage them to reach their highest potential.

Spiritually, God places mentors, teachers, and leaders in our lives to help us grow. Coaching in the Kingdom is about:

  • Helping you see your God-given potential.

  • Equipping you with biblical tools to live faithfully.

  • Encouraging you to step out in faith and take action.

Just as Paul mentored Timothy (2 Timothy 2:2), we too are called to be coached and to coach others in living the Kingdom Way.

Kingdom Success Begins With God’s Definition

Biblical success is not measured only by income, recognition, or position. Joshua 1:8 connects good success with meditating on God’s Word and observing what it commands. Kingdom success begins when our choices agree with Scripture, our character remains faithful, and our work serves a purpose greater than personal praise.

This definition brings freedom. A person can make meaningful progress without comparing every step with someone else’s public results. God may call one believer to lead, another to build, another to teach, and another to serve quietly. Faithfulness matters in every assignment.

Coaching and Wise Accountability

Proverbs 15:22 teaches that purposes are established through counsel. A trustworthy coach or mentor does not replace prayer, Scripture, or personal responsibility. The right guide asks thoughtful questions, helps clarify goals, identifies blind spots, and encourages consistent action.

Biblical accountability should be honest and respectful. It should never manipulate, control, or promise guaranteed outcomes. Healthy guidance keeps God’s Word central and helps the learner make responsible decisions.

Clarify the Goal Before Building the Plan

A broad desire such as “I want to succeed” is difficult to act upon. Define what faithful success would look like in the present season. The goal might involve completing a course, improving financial stewardship, strengthening family routines, beginning a ministry project, or developing a skill.

Write the goal clearly, identify why it matters, and choose a reasonable completion date. Then divide the goal into smaller actions that can be reviewed each week.

A Practical Kingdom Coaching Process

  1. Pray for direction. Ask God to examine motives and reveal the right priority.
  2. Study relevant Scripture. Build the goal on biblical principles rather than pressure.
  3. Assess the present situation. Identify available time, skills, resources, and responsibilities.
  4. Select the next action. Choose a step small enough to complete but meaningful enough to create progress.
  5. Set accountability. Decide when and how progress will be reviewed.
  6. Evaluate the fruit. Measure growth in discipline, integrity, service, and obedience—not activity alone.
  7. Adjust wisely. Change the plan when facts, responsibilities, or godly counsel require it.

Overcoming Fear and Procrastination

Fear often disguises itself as endless preparation. Learning is important, but a plan must eventually become action. Second Timothy 1:7 reminds believers that God has not given the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

When a task feels overwhelming, reduce it to the next faithful step. Make the phone call, complete one lesson, organize one page, or schedule one hour of focused work. Consistency builds confidence because progress becomes visible.

Protect Character While Pursuing Growth

No achievement is worth sacrificing honesty, family responsibility, health, or obedience. Success without integrity creates instability. Build rest, Sabbath preparation, prayer, and reflection into the plan. These practices protect the heart from becoming controlled by ambition.

Celebrate progress with gratitude, but remain teachable. Correction, delay, and redirection can become valuable parts of development.
