Introduction: The Sabbath and Sanctification: Set Apart for a Holy Purpose Welcome to New Beginnings Books and Media. Throughout October, we are studying the Sabbath Day from creation to commandment, from the example of Jesus to the prophetic promise of future worship. Today's focus is how holy time teaches believers to live as a people set apart unto God. We will use the King James Version as our biblical foundation and invite every reader to examine Scripture carefully rather than allowing habit, culture, or human tradition to answer the question for us. The Sabbath is the seventh day, beginning Friday at sundown and ending Saturday at sundown. God blessed it, sanctified it, commanded His people to remember it, and gave it as sacred time for rest, worship, family, reflection, and serv...

The Kingdom Way: Unlocking Your True Purpose Through Faith and Action

The Kingdom Way Course book cover about faith and purpose

So many people today are searching for meaning. Some turn to careers, money, or relationships, hoping to find fulfillment—yet still feel empty. The truth is, lasting purpose can only be found in God’s Kingdom. Jesus Christ taught us that life is about more than what we eat, drink, or wear. It’s about seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Whether you are a believer desiring to grow deeper in your walk with Christ or someone still searching for truth, understanding The Kingdom Way is the key to living a life filled with purpose, peace, and eternal hope.

What is The Kingdom of God?

The Kingdom of God is not about earthly power or material gain—it is about God’s rule and reign in our hearts and lives. When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we step into His Kingdom, where love, justice, mercy, and truth guide us.

For believers, the Kingdom is both a present reality and a future promise. We are called to live as ambassadors of Christ, showing the world God’s love through our words and actions.

For nonbelievers, learning about the Kingdom reveals that God has a divine purpose for every soul. No matter your background, mistakes, or struggles, you are invited to enter this Kingdom through faith in Jesus Christ.

Faith and Action: Walking the Kingdom Way

Faith without action is incomplete (James 2:17). The Kingdom Way is not just about what we believe but how we live.

Living the Kingdom Way means forgiving others, walking in love, obeying God’s Word, serving those in need, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is both a personal journey and a mission to impact the world for God’s glory.

Purpose Begins With God’s Kingdom

Biblical purpose is not merely a career title, personal brand, or public platform. It begins with recognizing God’s authority and ordering our lives according to His Word. Matthew 6:33 teaches believers to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When that priority is established, goals, relationships, work, and service can be evaluated more clearly.

Purpose often develops through ordinary faithfulness. Caring for family, keeping commitments, studying Scripture, serving someone in need, and completing honest work may not seem dramatic, yet these actions build the character required for greater responsibility.

Faith Must Be Joined With Action

James 2 teaches that faith without works is dead. This does not mean salvation can be purchased by human effort. It means genuine faith produces visible obedience. Prayer should lead to wise decisions, truth should shape conduct, and spiritual conviction should influence daily habits.

Waiting on God is not the same as avoiding responsibility. While we pray for direction, we can prepare, learn, organize, and complete the next task already placed before us. Faithful movement allows purpose to become practical.

Renewing the Mind for Kingdom Living

Romans 12:2 calls believers to transformation through the renewing of the mind. Old patterns of fear, comparison, discouragement, and confusion can prevent progress. Scripture provides a standard by which thoughts can be examined and corrected.

When a negative belief appears, ask whether it agrees with God’s Word. Replace hopeless statements with biblical truth, then support that renewed thinking with responsible action. A changed mind becomes powerful when it leads to changed behavior.

Five Steps Toward God-Given Purpose

  1. Pray for wisdom. Ask God to reveal motives, gifts, responsibilities, and areas that need growth.
  2. Study the Word. Use Scripture as the foundation for every major decision.
  3. Identify what is already in your hands. Consider your experience, abilities, resources, and opportunities to serve.
  4. Create a faithful plan. Turn a broad vision into clear, manageable steps.
  5. Review the fruit. Look for growth in obedience, integrity, service, and spiritual maturity.

Character Comes Before Influence

The Kingdom way values integrity above appearance. Leadership without character can harm both the leader and the people being served. Luke 16:10 teaches faithfulness in little things. Before seeking a larger audience or assignment, believers should practice honesty, patience, discipline, humility, and accountability where they are now.

Correction is also part of growth. Wise counsel can reveal blind spots and protect a person from avoidable mistakes. Receiving correction with humility does not weaken purpose; it strengthens the foundation beneath it.

Serving Others With Your Gifts

God-given abilities are not meant only for personal advancement. First Peter 4:10 instructs believers to minister their gifts to one another. A Kingdom-centered purpose asks, “How can this ability honor God and help people?” Service may happen through teaching, counseling, caregiving, business, creativity, administration, encouragement, or practical support.

Healthy service includes boundaries and stewardship. Rest, preparation, financial responsibility, and family obligations matter. Sustainable purpose is built through order rather than constant exhaustion.
